BCAC is currently hosting an exhibition entitled "Over the Rainbow," featuring the acrylic paintings and pastel work of artist Lois Gobbi. The show will hang in the gallery until April 7th, 2021.

Lois was born and raised in Santa Rosa, CA. She began drawing in pencil at a young age. She remained interested in fine arts and finished her AA degree at Santa Rosa Junior College. Lois then began working in various mediums, including charcoal, pen and ink, acrylics and water color. After moving to Maryland in 1999, she focused first on watercolor and then switched to pastels, a medium which allowed her to cultivate her interest and technique in landscape. Her recent move to North Carolina provides many opportunities for capturing the beauty of the Albemarle Sound and surrounding lands. Lois enjoys painting in her studio overlooking the Sound.
